ESAN (Lima-Peru)

ESAN was the first academic Graduate School of Business Administration created in the Spanish speaking world. It was founded on July 25th, 1963, under an agreement between the governments of Peru and the United States of America. Its organization and implementation was entrusted to the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University, California.

Transformed into Universidad ESAN on July 12, 2003 (by Law N°. 28021), it offers at present Master degrees in Business Administration,

Agribusiness, Energy Management, Finance, Finance and Corporate Law, Health Services Management, Information Technology Management, Management and Development of Real Estate, Marketing, Organization and People Management, Public Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, and the Master in Research in Management Sciences, the first step towards the doctoral degree conferred under agreements with Universidad Carlos III and Universidad Camilo Jose de Zela, Spain. At the undergraduate level Universidad ESAN offers careers in Management and Social Sciences, Engineering and Law. Also, a variety of executive development programs in various formats, corporate programs and professional services. The Research unit carries out academic studies in various disciplines, publishes such findings and is also very active in consulting.

ESAN University is a non-profit private institution, incorporated as a legal entity of private law and registered in the Book of Associations of the Registry of Legal Entities of Lima. ESAN enjoys academic, economic, regulatory and institutional autonomy, and guarantees freedom of thought, education, criticism and expression, regardless of race, gender, religion or political affiliation.

ESAN is governed by its Statute, its internal regulations and other State rules that apply within their own autonomy. The government of ESAN University corresponds to their governing bodies and authorities namely: the General Assembly, the University Council, the President and the Vice-President for academic affairs, its faculty councils and deans.

Our campus, located on the site of an old hacienda-house in the district of Santiago de Surco, surrounded by hills, green areas and with modern installations, provides the atmosphere required for studying. All working areas -the Information Center (ESAN/Cendoc), classrooms, offices and meeting rooms- have wireless access to Internet.
